3. Why These Cookies Are Necessary
The sessionid and csrftoken cookies are strictly necessary for the secure operation of the booking portal. Without them, core functionality (including staff login, booking management, and form submission) cannot work. Under applicable law, strictly necessary cookies do not require your prior consent.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not use any third-party advertising, analytics, or social media tracking cookies. Our payment form loads Google reCAPTCHA v3 (Google LLC, USA) to detect fraudulent submissions. reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies subject to Google's Privacy Policy. reCAPTCHA is strictly functional (fraud prevention) and does not serve ads.
5. Legal Basis for Cookie Use by Jurisdiction
EU / EEA (GDPR + ePrivacy Directive): Our cookies are strictly necessary for the legitimate purpose of providing a secure, functional service. Under Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive exemption for technically necessary cookies, no prior consent is required. The reCAPTCHA cookie is justified under legitimate interests (fraud prevention) per Recital 47 GDPR.
United Kingdom (UK GDPR + PECR): Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR, as retained in UK law post-Brexit) and UK GDPR, strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement. The sessionid and csrftoken cookies are technically essential for the service to function. We do not set any cookies for marketing, advertising, or non-essential analytics. Canada (PIPEDA / Quebec Law 25): Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements under PIPEDA where they are required to fulfill a legitimate business function. Australia (Privacy Act 1988 / APPs): Australia does not have a specific cookie law equivalent to the EU ePrivacy Directive. However, under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles, we are required to be transparent about our data collection practices. The session and CSRF cookies are technically necessary and collect no personal information beyond your session identifier. IP addresses logged for security may constitute personal information under Australian law and are handled in accordance with APP 11 (security) and APP 6 (use/disclosure only for the original purpose).
